After Years of Waiting, Praying and Dreaming...
Jenn and Jerry attended Grace College together. When Jerry and Jenn first met at a musical production, Jenn thought he liked her room mate Kacy, so she didn't think much about him. Of course the attraction was there, but neither Jenn nor Jerry thought anything would come of it. However, a few months later, after summer break, upon seeing eachother again, there was an instant, undeniable attraction, and even more than that. The two were fast friends, as if each had known the other forever. There was a closeness and feeling that neither could explain or describe. Jenn knew she was falling in love with Jerry, and Jerry knew the same, but he was slower to admit it. He had been hurt before, and didn't want to move too quickly. They talked freely and comfortably on the phone for hours every night. They were a bit shy in person for a while, because it was all so new and different. But Jerry finally asked her out, to her extreme delight. Their first official date was Homecoming at Grace College, October 17, 1997. He brought her 6 roses. (Later, he confided in her that he didn't want to scare her with a dozen, but one wasn't enough, so he chose half a dozen! =) She was beautiful, and he was handsome. The night was nice, but since the whole relationship was sort of up in the air, there was more nervousness and insecurity than there was enjoyment. They talked on the phone even more, getting more and more sure of the others' feelings. There was an understood agreement that if the two would begin dating, it would be for a lifetime, because both wanted a real, committed relationship with eachother, standing on the Lord. On November first, Jerry made it 'official' by saying the most adorably romantic things to Jenn, and they knew they would be together forever.
